Seminar programme at VAE encourages sharing of ideas

Details of a comprehensive seminar and education programme at the Visitor Attraction Expo (VAE) have been revealed.

Organised by BALPPA, the programme is relevant to visitors of both VAE and EAG International. Each seminar will address a current issue, with a focus on risk reduction and business development.

Robert Kluth, director of the leisure division of Lorica Insurance, will attempt to chart a course through the minefields of the Ministry of Justice’s Liability Claims Portal and the HSE Fee for Intervention, while Charlotte Cooper, head of employment law at Plexus Law, will host a session entitled ‘The Disciplinary Procedure - How to do it properly’. Other subjects covered will include the impact of social media and mystery shoppers.

“The shows should deliver a forum for the sharing of ideas, experiences and initiatives,” said organiser Karen Cooke. “The programme has been carefully designed to appeal to the wider leisure community, featuring talented presenters who are at the top of their game and really know our industry well.”

VAE and EAG International are taking place between 13-15 January 2015 at the ExCel London Exhibition Centre.
